The wooden 3D puzzle of the Saint Hripsime Church is the scale model of one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Armenia, which dates back to the 7th century. The church is dedicated to Saint Hripsime, a Christian martyr who was sentenced to death by the pagan king Tiridates III of Armenia, later under the rule of King Tirdates III Armenia becomes the first country to officially adopt Christianity as its state religion.
The church is a masterpiece of Armenian architecture, with a tetraconch plan, a central dome and niches on the exterior walls of the church characteristic of Armenian architecture. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the inspiration for the architects of the Saint Sarkis church in Carrollton, Texas which won the 2022 “US Building of the Year” award.
